Montgomery is
a growing community quietly nestled along both banks of the Fox River in
Kane and Kendall Counties, just south of Aurora and about 40 miles west of
Chicago. Founded in 1835, the Village was named after Montgomery County, New
York, by an early settler who came from that area. That same settler, Daniel
Gray, began several businesses in Montgomery, including a grist mill that
has been beautifully restored and is listed on the National Registry of
Historic Places.
